HIRED: Social media marketer

Join our remote team! We're a small digital marketing agency focused on medium-sized businesses, most of whom are in the US. The industries we work in are varied - from art, to gastronomy, to education, travel, and more.

What we do:

- Overall business & digital marketing strategy

- Branding, design & messaging creation (value propositions, USP's etc)

- Web design and development

- Inbound marketing (social media, SEO, content development, email marketing, marketing automation)

- Outbound marketing (paid social media, Google Ads)

- Reporting and tracking ROI using key metrics like conversions, cost per lead, cost per customer etc.

We pride ourselves on the strategic insights that we provide to clients. To do this, we take the time to understand their customers, the customer's problems, and define the client's messaging and strategy which best resonates with customers to get them to convert. Who we're looking for: someone who thinks the same way we do ^^^

If you have experience managing social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Google My Business) and your English is perfect, please keep reading.

You will be responsible for our agency's social media accounts. There are currently 5, however that may increase. As we are a small agency, you may be asked to take on other responsibilities, depending on your interests.

You will be:

  • - Working with the strategy team to plan, set goals and strategies for all clients' social media accounts.

  • - Creating brand awareness, managing the reputation of the clients, engage with customers via social media, and grow the following across all channels.

  • - Writing copy, creating designs (we use Canva) to match the tone and existing brand strategy for each client.

  • - Creating posts and stories the month prior then scheduling them using a scheduling tool (we use Later)

  • - Coming up with new ideas for messaging and different ways to grow the client's business

Requirements:

  • - Amazing English

  • - Experience with copywriting

  • - Experience managing and growing social media accounts (we primarily focus on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, however there could be some work on Twitter)

  • - A solid eye for design and experience with Canva

  • - A strategic mind

  • - Looking for a longer term contract vs a one-time project

How we work:

  • - We are 100% remote. Our founder lives in Madrid, along with our SEO and content writer, our developer is in Pakistan, and our current social media strategist is in Panama.

  • - Our team uses Trello, a task management platform.

  • - First you would work with our strategic planner on the overall strategy, and once the strategy is defined, you would be expected to create and execute the campaigns.

  • - We work one month in advance (in January, you'll be creating posts/stories/campaigns for February)

  • - The account manager reviews your work first, then goes to the client for revisions.

  • - Once it's approved by the client, you would set up the campaigns, schedule them, monitor, optimize.

**Please do not apply if your US English isn't perfect and if you do not have experience managing and growing social media accounts.

Huge plus if you have experience with creating/optimizing Google Ads campaigns or designing emails/writing content in Mailchimp, so you can lend a helping hand in that area.

There is an opportunity for taking on more work depending on your skill set - as you can see, it's flexible. Extra-extra brownie points if you speak Spanish (one of the social media accounts is in español).

Very approximate hours per month: 20-40. Depends on your skill set and what other work you are capable of taking on/have experience with.

Why join us

  • 100% remote-based - work from wherever you want.

  • We believe that you work WITH us, not FOR us. Meaning - you're not a monkey. So we don't treat you like one! We know what it's like to be that contractor. You're considered part of our team.

  • We want your feedback to make sure we're giving you what you need

  • Opportunity to make more $ as we take on new clients and projects

  • You can pick and choose what work to take on - stick with what you know or learn something new!

  • Get insights into how we run a small digital marketing agency and be a part of the growth

  • Compensation for referrals of new clients - the percentage of the total plus additional pay

  • Variety of work – our clients come from an array of different industries

To apply, please send Roumena at rokdigitalmarketing dot.com an email with information about why you think you'd be a good fit, your resume, where your skill set lies, and examples of your work + social media profiles you're managing/have managed + accomplishments for those profiles.
